美國職業棒球大聯盟（MLB）堪薩斯皇家隊台灣投手王建民，今天在延長賽第十局上場後援兩局無失分，皇家十一局攻下致勝分，王建民成為勝利投手，拿下個人本季第六勝。

皇家在主場迎戰明尼蘇達雙城隊，比賽過程一度因雨中斷，雙方以四比四打進延長賽。王建民在第十局上登場時，已是當地時間凌晨二時，暌違八天再出賽，讓對手三上三下。王建民十一局續投，面對四名打者只被敲一支一壘安打，沒失分。這場比賽打到第十一局下分出勝負，皇家以五比四氣走雙城。這場比賽經七小時才分出勝負。
